The NAPTP exam is proctored by PSI Centers across the U.S. We are working on remote proctoring for all phlebotomists.
Preparation study guides are available and are in PDF downloadable format. We work with you to prepare you for the exam.
Phlebotomist's may register online and pay by credit card to register.
You must have at least 30 live blood draws to take the NAPTP. This allows newer Phlebotomy Technicians to complete and gain a national certification!
The Exam consists of 100 questions which cover a wide range of topics from order of draw to clinical competency along with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Students have 2 hours to complete the exam.
The NAPTP requires 25 Continuing Education Credits and must be renewed every 2 years. The Phlebotomist must document a minimum of 20 hours of work experience.
Phlebotomist's who challenge the exam and pass will receive their certifications with a seal in 7-10 business days, and their number will appear on the NAPTP's website.
Phlebotomist's who would like to refresh their knowledge in phlebotomy will soon have the opportunity to through a special review course provided by the NAPTP.
